Sri Lanka vs Australia-5th ODI

Postby Gozu » Mon Aug 22, 2011 3:32 am

We hold an unassailable 3-1 lead in the series so not much riding on the final ODI on Monday night. It seems Fox's broadcast will start at 6pm.

Thank God for Shaun March though, Watson, Ponting, M. Hussey, D. Hussey all failed chasing 130 odd

Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bowl.

For us Hastings & Pattinson in, Bollinger & Lee out.

Jayawardene claims a great catch, then the umps get together, so he stops and goes over to them to say "I'm not sure"...

If the umps had stood rooted in the spot, one with finger raised, then I doubt Jayawardene would have said boo.

Now Tony Grieg sings his praises as one of the last honourable cricketers...

Clarke really needs to go on with this here, he has eaten up a lot of balls and now as captain he needs to go on and make a big score. If not I will continue to think he is a selfish batsmen.....

Aussies bowling crap, 11 wides in first 14 overs. The Lankans will wrap this up inside 30 overs the way they are going

46 off 67 balls IIRC, that's ok for someone steadying the ship. What we lack is aggressive middle order batsmen who can hit boundaries and take risk on a regular basis to compliment the like sof Clarke, it's something we don't have anymore and unfortunately anyone new is too worried about losing their spot to attempt this feat.
