Why do they play these MEANINGLESS games at the start of the tour? Surely the main focus should be on the Tests. A couple of 3 day games then the Tests and then play their mickey mouse games to raise a few $$$$$ at the end of the tour would make more sense.

Where are the Queenslanders, Tasmanians and South Australians ???

Didn't S.A. just play in the last 2 T20 finals, winning one of them and yet cant supply a single player?

good point, what is the warm up itinerary for the test squad? we have to take a leaf out of the poms book from last summer, they insisted no mickey mouse stuff pror to the test series

We are having a bowl, not the worst team named for us.

Sri Lanka have a few no namers, especially in the bowling department. Confuses me why they don't play Ajantha Mendis against us, I couldnt see a few of our batsman being able to read him.

Early wickets the key, Lee will get a few early.

it was very much the Dilshan show, some massive hits and then some clever wristy shots, good innings to watch.


Our bowling was rank. Hastings and Johnson are trash, should not be playing for Australia. Watson couldn't grip the ball, bowled a heap of full tosses, poor on his usual standard. O'keefe good, impressed me. Smith good, looks like he has quicken his bowling to imitate Shahid Afridi, I like it better than his normal poo. Lee meh, bowled a good over late but early was all over the shop which isn't good enough in 20/20.


Looking forward to seeing us bat, don't think we will get close unless someone scores 80+

Interesting that Justin Langer goes slower bowlers usually have the most success here, hmm well why did we go in with Lee Hastings Johnson Watson............ Who knows these days.

Our batting has been rubbish, poor dismissals from rubbish batsmen (White / Smith).

Sri Lanka bowled well though, no rubbish balls like we bowled, accurate with a bit of turn.
