Being a T20 comp, yeah agree with you fairly pointless.

Incorrect on both counts, there are 3 day games plus good experience, especially with the NZ side being their A team with internationals such as Flynn, Broom, Watling

Doug is the son of Brendon (NZ) and nephew of John (NZ). His cousin Michael, son of Mark (First Class) also played for NZ Under 19 last year

Yep, a couple of recognisable names in the NZ side, namely Bracewell & Astle.
