Strange to see neither Sydney or Melbourne hosting a final! Good to see that format back rather than just a few pointless ODIs against one country. Seems a very quiet year for the MCG.

Great to see Adelaide Oval get such a favourable allocation :D although would this be due to

a) most other grounds being unavailable in March due to football commitments
b) Adelaide Oval getting less matches in the next xxxx years after that due to being a construction site.

Enjoy it while you can, all you yes voters...

c) the bandwagon fans have jumped on to teeball and they can't fill the MCG or SCG anymore and it's not a good look for the sponsors.

Great to see the Australia day test back in Adelaide. Agree with REB about ODI's a half empty MCG looks bad and costs a bucketload to run, heaps better to fill Adelaide. With the T20's taking over its clear the public are not interested in one dayers anymore

I think you are spot on REB

I was against the tri-series concept in the end but having seen the alternative I accept the tri-series is better. Honestly I think 50 over cricket is near dead and the scheduling of finals at the AO, while great for us here, reflects how far the 50 over game has dropped since the WSC heydays.
