First international cricketer comes out of the closet

And this player is Steve Davies the English cricketer who was a suprising omission from the world cup when he was dropped after the first ODI against Australia this summer. He let his team mates and officials know before they departed for the Australian tour.

Not a big deal but I do wonder if the suprise sacking came from the players more so than the selectors?

He wouldn't have been dropped just because his team mates like Bats above Balls surely.

It was only a few years ago when there were cricketers who were embarrassed to say they were English! Damn our Ashes loss!

Wouldn't think so, Jimmy Anderson came out awhile ago (no pun intended) in support of any gay cricketers.
