Thanks Brod, cos I was going to post something similar tomorrow.

I think Sth Africa are cherry ripe for this. Their warm up against Australia wasn't really even a warm up, it was a roll of the arm - figuratively speaking. They'll be looking for some proper competition and then excel. Their all round strength is their batting, which looks formidable IMO. The talk of them choking in previous WC's is an obvious mental hurdle but I can't see too many teams applying enough pressure when it counts for them to suffer enough to choke. I'm happy to be wrong of course :-)

India obviously will be difficult to counter. And then Sri Lanka who I just simply haven't followed at all will be an unknown quantity for me. They're my wildcard. So I'm going either Sth Africa/India final or Sth Africa/Sri Lanka final (if the group/final draw allows)

This talk about Australia being one of the favourites.... well I can't quite understand it myself.

There is normally a big upset in each tournament, so I'll go for someone like Kenya to beat Pakistan (just looking the draw up now) on the 23rd. Actually, that's not that big an upset is it?

Aussies to win.
Aus v Pakistan final
Semis: Sri lanka/ South Africa
Watson leading run scorer
Malinga leading wicket taker

Too much pressure on india, they will fold under the burden of it.
South africa are always cherry ripe but always choke, most overated side going around. Cant wait to laugh at them when they crash out and look like tools again.

Hey Jim, I'm interested on how you think Australia will make it. Pakistan, well I wont even broach the topic. Aust form is deplorable. Are you hoping that everyone falls by the wayside rather than us actually being better than everyone else?

No I think they'll both be knocked out in the Semi's.

7 of or squad has played in a winning world cup and australias form in india is usually fairly good. Dont think there will be too many upsets and if pakistan get through the group stages they are very dangerous in a one off final they are my smokey. Either them or sri lanka to play us in final. Saffers will choke and dont underestimate the pressure india are on, train wreck waiting to happen
