Australia vs South Africa-World Cup warm up

Postby Gozu » Tue Feb 15, 2011 12:52 am

Our second and final warm up game Tuesday night ahead of the start of the World Cup. Unfortunately it doesn't look like this game is being televised here.

If they play like they did against India, I'd prefer not to have to sit through it. I'm thinking they're just getting their price up a bit in these warmup matches.

Biggest concern for our world cup campaign is the make up of our bowling line-up, the selectors have gone with extremly attacking pace options.

Lee is locked in as a certainty.

Then you have Johnson, Tait, Bollinger and Hastings.

For me Hastings has to play as he is the only out and out containing option amongst them.

Then Bollinger is the other bowler who can bowl tight while still picking up wickets so he gets the nod ahead of Johnson and Tait for mine.

Johnson/Tait will be fighting out for the fourth bowling spot.

Personally i dont think we will play an specialist spin bowler as Krezja isnt that far ahead of the others to warrant. Spin will come from Smith, Clarke and Hussey.

Just imho.
