SA v WA - WACA 10 Feb 2010

Postby westcoastpanther » Thu Feb 10, 2011 12:53 pm

WA have won the toss and chosen to bat.

Nathan Lyon comes into the side, will be very interesting to see how he goes at first class level after breaking through in the big bash.

Batting looks a real worry, Smith back opening who couldn't make a run earlier in the year with DC and AO'B coming in at 5 and 6.

Brisk run rate by the normal standards. 2 down and going at over 4 an over.

Nice start by the Redbacks anyway. Fingers crossed they keep chipping away.

Was it Pomersbach who was suspended a couple of years ago after an off field incident?

I reckon he's been suspended 2 or 3 times for off-field incidents.

In November 2007, Pomersbach and fellow Western Warrior Shaun Marsh were suspended from the state side for drinking alcohol following a game against Queensland.

On 9 August 2009, after two hit-and-run incidents, Pomersbach was arrested and charged by police with failing to stop, failing to accompany police, driving with a blood alcohol level in excess of .08, assaulting a public officer, obstructing police and escaping legal custody.

Media, two spinners on the second fastest wicket in the world - not sure on that one. Plus the depth in the batting I really worry about, not sure OB is up to 6, would have preferred Dan the man 6, Choco 7, OB 8.

Good to see 5 South Australians in the team and we would almost claim Richardson, making it 6 out of the 12.
