This is a prime example of the WC discussion...

The Redbacks are poo, but this really is the best XI they can put out, so we'll nut up, shut up, and back them like patriots...

If they picked the Northern Districts 2nd XI, then we'd probably have the same discussions...

*note, I use "discussions" not "arguments." ;)

Fair enough. Heard obrien and lyon on 5aa tonight and they seemed to mention there was an option to get him back for finals.

MP, fair chance that if we win tomorrow, we will be in the final, hosting, there is only one other final, a Prelim which I think is on the Tuesday and then final on the Sat. Could look it up, but too engrossed in Oprey (?).

No doubting Pollard brings many people through the gate and is a huge reason why the redbacks have done well in this comp the past 2 seasons.

Pity he can't play the entire comp if true.

Last season when he left early, did Afridi stay ?
If he did at least there was something else to look forward to.
I'm not sure what attracted the SACA to Rashid (not a criticism) but he doesn't pull them through the gates like Pollard and Afridi.

Hopefully the local lads can go one better than last season and a huge crowd gets behind them.

Pollard is the reason why I have been converted to 20/20. i love it and would not be upset one little bit if they canned the one dayers in favour of 20/20.

My first 20/20 match and the first game of cricket Mini-Jase has been too... Hope he doesn't get to bored to quickly, though being like his mother and being distracted by shiny things there should be enough to keep him entertained... ;)
