Will give this until Friday, good trend in the voting but probably need above 70% for it to happen, make your vote count!

Just do it. I think having a cricket history forum would encourage more debate and discussion on the historical side of the game, similar to what has happened in the SANFL forums. What is the harm in doing it? There is a lot more political and travel related posts just because they have their own forums.

I don't think there's enough traffic for it, the international cricket forum is one of my favourite ones for discussion and different views on the game, I'd rather it all in the one spot.

It's a virtual HOME for Brod's Cricket Stats...

He pulls up a historical stat, and it generates discussion...

Some dummy (i.e. Me) asks a historical question, and everyone jumps in to nut out the answer...

Perfect place to reflect on the cricketing heroes of yesteryear...

I can't vote more than once, but if Dutchy wants 70%, then get amongst it people...

Surely, if it's a flop, then the mods have a great big "delete thread" button, and it's consigned to "history."

I voted NO but it would give MAL a place to brag about spotting the talents of Victor Trumper before anyone else.

As the perpetuator of this thread poll, I am admonished and prohibited from making any comments that would thereby influence any subsequent voting

So 58% in favour is a no then?

I would have thought if there was forty odd posters in favour, even if half of them are going to post on the forum, then it'd be worth a go...

Question - if a cricket forum is made, people post in it, but after a while it doesn't seem to work, can the threads be added back to the cricket forum?

Yes, posts can be moved back into the cricket forum if a history forum didn't work out.
