I just discovered that we are touring Bangladesh in April and May, hopefully this can be used as an opportunity to give some youth a taste of test cricket.

Warnie said in his column today after this Ashes we don't play Test cricket again until Aug-Sep. Yes, there are the two Tests in Bangaldesh in April but I've read that both the Bangladesh cricket board and CA want the tour scrapped.

Pretty sure the Bangladesh tour has been scrapped due to the IPL being on at the same time.

Crazy I know.

Our first and only tour of Bangladesh had some memorable moments for South Australians. Jason Gillespie's unbeaten double century in what turned out to be in his final Test match, Dan Cullen making his Test debut and Mark Cosgrove making his ODI debut.

Did hear James Sutherland on ABC radio discussing his desire for a day night test match next season against india, with the ideal location being adelaide. Interesting comments that seem to have been glossed over with recent events.

Seems surprising as they've still yet to develop a ball suitable for night Test cricket. :?

Stuff south africa. Boxing day should go to who gets the crowds. South african cricket draws pathetic crowds compared to australia. When they can draw more than 20000 to a game then they can ask for the bigger games

Not sure they are dirty they have just said that they are prepared to come to play Boxing day in Australia, if we are prepared to reciprocate - next time we go there for Boxing day, and they tour here when we would go over there. They haven't said they won't tour here, just wont tour here over XMAS, New Year holiday period.

Mind you JIM 05 has a good point we lose far more ($$$) than they do by not having XMAS New Year tests then they do.

So Asian countries have selfish interests, putting money first, but Australia cna do it because we make more money than Sth Africa?

We should head over there for a boxing day test, would be interesting to watch I reckon.

It's Melbourne and Sydney that would be complaining about those Tests, not the rest of the country. They haven't always had those timeslots for those Tests.

We had to give up our Australia Day Tests and we still get good crowds.
