The below picture will hopefully work when the sun is up!

However my concern is it shows the seats as being a AAMI Stadium Teal Blue colour which doesnt match the original design?

I havent seen it myself but only going on pictures, can anyone help here? smac?

Image

Here is the original fly thru etc which doesnt show blue seats.

Haven't looked at the video, but yes there are blue seats. Centre top section are maroon/dark red. Tackling the big issues? Fill 'em up, no one knows what colour they are!

Some crazy theory I heard a few years ago was that blue seats supposedly made you hungry. i.e. so it makes you purchase food there as an impulse buy.

I doubt the stands will ever be full, Ill leave my complete judgement until I see it first hand but I wouldnt think blue seats would match the rest of the ground when they are a fawn colour.

Bit like ordering a new car from a picture and getting delievered the wrong colour!

Why? The occasional cricket match fills it up, and it footy ever gets there it may happen regularly.

I'm sure they are the colour that were ordered!

I always thought the colours red and yellow are the colours to make you hungry. Certainly the view of the major fast food chains with pretty much all of them having red and/or yellow in their colours.

Makes sense - cheery colours go with the saying "eat, drink and be merry". But I'd like to know why blue seems to be the choice in seat colours in many stadiums? I could only think of that theory to sustain that choice; even if I (and you or whoever) wouldn't associate it.

The fans will flock to the oval and fill those teal seats whenever Kat the Bat strides warrior like to the crease!

Just went down at lunch for my first view, pretty impressive, the Terrace Bar is going to be the place to be I feel!

Still not entirely comfortable with the blue seats though!

the stand is absolutely hopeless if you want to watch any cricket in comfort

- the bottom tier is teh best viewing but is in the sun for ages as teh roof is so high and there are no sides to the stand, the rain also gets in so you have to be in teh back couple of rows which then causes problems as tehre is no breeze in those rows so with teh concrete floor of the second tier above it was stuffy and uncomfortable - that was with teh stand only half empty on a reasonable temperature day.

- the top tier has the same problme with the rain - need to be about 15 rows back to avaoid any rain getting in, but tehn you start to get quite a long way from the actual cricket

- the rain also causes problems in the front row of each tier as ther drainage is terrible so the water pools on the floor, and also the base on some of the starirs out teh back seem to be a meeting point for all the water so you cant access some stairs without getting wet feet. there were also quite a few leaks and plenty of wheelie bins deployed to catch all the leaks- which were even happening on day 1 without the rain so that is a concern

but apart from that it was great ;)
