I have edited/quoted as follows :

Victorian Captain White is now the property of IPL side Bangladore after he jumped ship for this years 20/20 championships

Bangladore are the beneficiaries of Whites decision, ushered by a clause in his IPL contract

If White had decided to play for VI, he would have been allowed, but risked being dumped from his IPL contract by Bangladores owners.

""Obviously Im disappointed I wont be available to play for my home team."

""I think its important to note that someone else in the squad gets a chance-this is a considerable positive we can take from the situation

_____________________

This is just utter bullcrapp and just shows the status of the Indian Pathetic League
Its $$$ orientated, allegiances in this case throwing the game of cricket in disrepute
Lets get this right the VI captain is going to play for another team
WHAT THE...

On Cam, perhaps his hands are tied, I am prepared to give him the benefit of doubt
BUT
His comment that someone else gets a gig for VI in his absence is a very poor comment
His team-mates have a chance to win a fortune , imagine how they must feel when thier skipper is missing in action

Imagine if VI were beaten by Bangladore and White stars ....

The merry go round wheel of fortune has Dirk FLUSH Nannes back in the VI squad this time round ...

I would enjoy it more if that player that "gets White's spot" is MOTM in a thumping VIC win.

this could also leave him dangerously open to tanking allegations should he perform poorly for his IPL side

The fact he is their Captain makes this decision even worse.

Vic Cricket gets a tidy $200k out of it, they probably aren't too fussed! But it would be a disappointing decision, unlike the expected decision by Pollard to not play for the Redbacks.

Pollard is in the unique situation of being able to play for three sides, with SA understandably his third choice

If it was in his contract that he would have to play for Bangalore over Victoria than that's on him.

At the same time with Bangalore he would make 10x what he would make with Victoria so I don't think you can fault him too much.

M.Hussey was going to play for his IPL Indian team over WA, before the 1st Champion League was cancelld due to security.
White has made the best possible decision. Victoria gets 200,000 American dollars without even bowling a ball. Dont tell me that if Tait was in the same decision he would choose SA over his Indian alliance.

LMAO. The IPL was designed for two reasons.

1. Make Money. Check.
2. Undermine Australian Cricket. Check.

Yeah keep supporting it just because you've got short attention spans. Load of crap.

Amen REB...

The T20 stuff (IPL, Big Bash, whatever comp) is a load of absolute carp.

It's half decent when you can watch an innings like Y. Pathan in the last IPL, but to consider it a proper game, with stats that count, is absolutely laughable...

Won't be paying any interest to whomever wins- couldn't tell you who won the last one- might Youtube some highlights if Pollard goes bunta, but that's about it!
