Obviously there's a couple of blokes on here that don't think JK is highly rated... Then there's four or five blokes who rate him as one of the best...

I suppose everyone looks at the game differently...

I rate him as one of the best iv ever seen, i just think when the media beat up players, Kallis doesnt get the accolades he deserves.

Media Park wrote:15 years, 140 tests.... Kallis...

Boucher for me as well...

Has played more tests than any other keeper (130-odd, so he'd be right up there on the all time list), and with no real successor, he will play for a while yet...Most dismissals as keeper EVER... (again, that's rising...)

Over 5000 runs (averages a touch over 30)

Can bat for ever (had played a few epic rearguard knocks), and can physically dominate an attack if he so desires...

He would have been gone 3-4 years ago IMO if South Africa had in form batsman. If they did, AB De Villiers would be batting a tad lower and keeping for them. But since JP Duminy (of late), Gibbs for the last 4 years and no real gun test batters on the way up, AB is expected to play as a batsman and Boucher to keep. I dare say AB will take over Boucher very soon

Paul Collingwood- Not the most talented player in the English line up but he's an absolute fighter. Love the way he goes about it.
James Anderson- Hoops the ball all over the shop, both ways aswell. Can be unplayable at times.

it is the reason Kallis goes unnoticed is that he his always there for his team thick and thin. Mean while the one that everyone notices and fears (cue Flintoff) are a flash in the pan and can go missing.....

Kallis and team are not 2 words i would put in the same sentence ever!!
would be one of the most selfish players i have seen

Grows an extra leg when playing for England

Averages only 37 in FC cricket, but close to 43 in test cricket

Kallis is a star IMO
I would always pick him if I was a coach, just so much he can bring to a side.

On another note. A friend of mine that is zimbabwean said Kallis is the most arrogant bloke he has ever met!

Agreed great call!

Disagree. Terrible call!
Bloke is not that good of a keeper, and his batting is not that good (although he just made a ton).

Gets out similar every time!

 Are you joking??

He's only playing for England because he is a half decent batsman that can keep! He'll be on his way soon as England select another keeper as they keep up to date with their "Rotating wicketkeeper" policy. ;)

That's a great trait to have. Steve Waugh did.

I don't rate his keeping... I think his batting hasn't been rated that highly...

His batting is pretty good but Englang think he's going to be the next Adam Gilchrist. Ain't gonna happen.

It's more for me that he can come in at 5 down for a billion runs, and keep it going, or come in at five for stuff all, and take the game away from the opposition in a session... And no-one rates him...
