Same here.

Hopefully the letter they send out in August actually consists of what you exactly get for the $360.

I can understand the one off fee, but would like a bit of break down to what the other gets me.

All cricket matches at the Adelaide oval (1 test, 2 ODIs maybe an Australia A T20, five shield games and 5 Domestic one-dayers) and whatever SANFL games get programmed there next year.

Oh yeah an advanced opportunity to buy tickets to: the Rugby 7s, any concerts and any other sporting events (i.e the Rugby League).

Thats about it.

Oh yeah and how could I forget the opportunity to share the members reserve (and tents) with p!ssed teenage nuffies in on Daddies membership who delight in showing off their Calvin Klein underwear logos...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Membership in past seasons has been $280, a building levy of $60 was added for a period of 3 years, taking it up to $340, the costs must have blown out a little as they have now gone up an extra $20 to $360, and the transferable cards were originally not going to incur the levy and were to stay at the price of $290, but i notice they have also gone up the extra $20 to $310.

not really - afl games cost a minimum of $30 for 2 hours entertainment, in theory the international cricket should be at least 6 hours per day

but the fee increases and signing on fees are a joke -just because a few leaders felt the need to desecrate the stadium against most members wishes the members have to keep forking out more and more

I just paid $70 for a gold ticket to the 1st day of the test, so $45 is a bargain mate.

Any chance we could meet up every hour so you can ship me 2 pints of full strength beer?

I pay my SACA membership every year and use it maybe 4 times a year. The weekend of the test out the back of the members is worth every $..... Me and my mates watch the first session with a few refreshing ales, then head out the back for a look and usually dont see much more cricket apart from on the big screen. Full strength beer then switch to pims  for a change then teh rest is history. Surrounded by Adelaide's finest sun dresses and plenty of fellow grade cricketers to talk shite with for hours.

When i get older and want to sit and watch every ball bowled it will become even more worth the $.

Sorry is this sounds harsh, but what you do is something that I hate. When I go to the cricket I go to actually watch it, not look for other ways to entertain myself. I know of quite a few people who somehow get into the members and all they do is go out the back and try to make themselves known.

I did what FS does on the first day of the Ashes test last time they were here. Couldn't get a seat to watch the cricket so we somehow scored a table right by the bar and good view of the big screen.

I likened it to a day at the races. where no one there was actually there to watch the event but more a social day catching up with people you know and meet other people that you don't but someone in your circle does. Great Day.

Also venture into the outer at some stage too but I find it best to do this early in the day before the smuggled beverages have a chance to take hold 8-[

5am! Bloody hell! I'm one to be offered a membership this time round, and I knew you had to be there early to secure a seat, but don't think I'll be getting there that early! Do you line up outside the members entrance? What time do the gates open?

gates usually open at 8am. Again for the last Ashes test on day 2 I got there with my dad about 715 and was within 200m of the gate.

Got inside within 10/15 minutes and the mad rush to get a seat.

Used the reserved stickers to their full advantage that day so remember to take a pen!

With the new stand I would expect you can get there anytime within an hour of play starting and get a seat, it just depends how fussy you are on exactly where it is.
