Murali will play one final Test match in an attempt to get his 800th wicket:

Surely he can throw the stumps down 8 times in a match... jus one more time... :D

Nah, much respect to the bloke. He's been copping flak from everyone for more than a decade, and he keeps coming back.

Will never call him the best bowler in the world, but certainly will take a special type (or another blatant chucker) to nab his current record...

I have always wondered when he was going to retire. I reckon he might get to 800 wickets, just because it's Murali.

The game will be better off without his antics.

Gotta admire this guy
He has spent endless hours at practice with his fielding
He has this deformity of sorts with his arm and yet he relentlessly does training drills with 22 yard returns at the stumps

The biggest farce of Test Cricket comes to an end. Unfortunately, there is a thing called legacy...

IMO, his legacy should be that he was responsible for the laws of the game to be changed.

NOT becuase he took a frig-load of wickets.

About time, always was/is a chucker. Rules were changed because the sub continent has to much power in the cricket world.

Everytime i bought a cricket mag with stats and records i go through with my permanent mark and cross out all Muralis wickets.

In my mind Warne is test crickets leading wicket taker.

Be interesting to compare Murali and Warnes record without any Bangladesh or Zimbabwe stats included.

Although Murli will go down as the leading wicket taker, his career will always have that doubt about it. However it is what it is and he was good for Sri Lankin cricket.
