Breakout season looming. I reckon he is going to have a huge 10/11 season, showed alot last season and will continue to improve. The international selectors will also keep a close eye on him aswell.

I hope so. If he plays both 20/20 and 50 over matches for the redbacks he'll pull some crowds and produce some exciting cricket.

by saying 'still' that means you assume he has got/had the captaincy but pretty sure he has never been the skipper!

I was playing with WCP as he had started a thread stating that Ferg had the job given to him. I made no assumption at all thanks.

With Keiran Pollards IPL team making the final i would very surprised if he fronts up for the Redbacks in the T20 Champions League, with his Indian team having 5hite loads more money and his home Island looking good in the T20 i would think we would be 3rd in line to see him.

Given it's a Redbacks thread, he is well entitled to speak of T20. Perhaps you could start a Sheffield Shield thread if that's all you want to talk about?

To you, perhaps. But your precious shield won't exist without T20.

Fair enough if you don't like the format, but F OFF is pretty harsh! Have you been to a big bash game? State cricket (well cricket-esque at least) with crowds! Unbelievable. It's brought me around to the format by attending with my boy.
But I am seriously looking forward to heading down the Bay oval on an RDO, kicking back on the grass and watching a day of the Shield unfold next season.

Redbacks starting to look like an England eleven, where none of the players are from the native state.
A potential side next season
1 Blizzard - ex Vic
2 Harris
3 Klinger - ex Vic
4 Ferguson
5 Cooper - ex Blue
6 O'Brien - ex Blue
7 Ludeman - recruited from Vic grade
8 Christian - ex Blue
9 Cleary - born in Vic, recruited from mildura. (SA system)
10 Cassell - ex Vic
11 George
also add into the mix another player or two they are looking at recruiting from the transfer pool before the deadline, and Kieron Pollard also is on the books and i assume another overseas will be signed with 'big bash cash' before december deadline...........

looking very much like tasmania of the 90s, although i would be interested to see how many natives are playing for each state
could throw in kane richardson too as he is an n.t boy isnt he?
