Test squad has 8 from NSW, 3 from WA, and 1 from TAS, Qld and Vic. Of course there is none from SA, only state not represented.

Corporal Klinger would be the only one in the top 20 atm unfortunately, Dan might go close.

Brad Haddin is almost emulating Adam GilCHRIST
Mitchell Johnson is almost emulatiing Alan Davidson
Shane Watson is almost emulating Keith Miller

If Hads, MJ, Watto can keep up thier recent standards for another 4-5 years each I will take 'almost' out of my opening comments

AU is blessed to have these 3 fantastic entertainers

Comparing hissy fit Johnson with the Lion hearted Davo is the worst call you have ever mally. Davo carried our attack for a bloody long time and was bowled into the ground.

Surely Rhino gets a gig ahead of McKay who just doesn't look like a Test bowler to me.

I think Marcus North's recent scores of 8,3,20,0 and Steven Smiths last 3 scores of 100, 38, 177 plus his figues off 7/64 (16) have cemented the test team for the first test match. This will be one of two changes IMO with the other being Peter Siddle out injured for Ryan Harris

Does everyone still think we should drop M Hussey?

If you stick with players (ie Hussey) they repay you. North isn't far away from doing that.

They will both do it against New Zealand, Pakistan and Bangladesh but will they against England when it counts. If you stick with players long enough of course they are going to eventually make runs, there elite cricketers. I just feel that once a player's age starts to get up towards the mid 30's they tend to go on the decline rapidly, and there shot selection isn't as good as what it should be. I am a fan of North and happy he got selected, but am a little wary with his recent Shield form.

Agree with that Rhino needs to be looked at in front of McKay, he offers so much more than McKay.
Also I believe North will keep his spot, but if he flops badly agains the Kiwi's then you need to start looking at Khawaja to start getting him settled before we take on some lets say better nations.
Also Steve Smith needs to be looked at as well. They guy is a sound batsmen and his bowling while being a bit loose at times is starting to look like being that front line spinner we are looking for. The fact that it would appear that he is a geniune alrounder is just a bonus.
Still which ever way we end up going we need to keep the 3 seamers.

Totally agree REB Harris should make his test debut across the ditch, but hoping the selectors pick him is another thing......

Every failure brings you one step closer to success. We have enough talent in the country to not have to persevere with North.
