Congrats Binga on a whole hearted Test career. I gained the most respect for him during a series when he didn't prove to be all that effective but busted his arse - the 2005 Ashes series. McGrath was busy treading on Cricket Balls and Gillespie had jumped the shark. All of a sudden Lee had to carry the perrennial underachiever Kasprowicz and hit and hope merchant Shaun Tait in the pace department. He bowled himself into the ground during that Test series.
I reckon Lee took longer than he should have to read the writing on the wall but you are a long time retired but in the end, injury normally catches up with the quickies sooner rather than later.
regards,
REB

Brett Lee - an enigma in the eyes of many.
I agree with New South REB on his comments about Bing.
Wasn't my favourite bowler but in the twilight of his Test career he showed us he was made of sterner stuff than many of us thought.
He hasn't retired from the shorter forms of the game but I kind of think he'll struggle to get into the Aussie sides in them as well.

much under-utilised by the Australian Selectors when he was at his peak.
