T20 VS Windies

Postby the joker » Wed Feb 17, 2010 11:06 am

Cricket Australia’s National Selection Panel (NSP) has today announced a 14-man squad for the two KFC Twenty20 Internationals against West Indies in Hobart (Sunday) and Sydney (Tuesday).

The squad is:
Michael Clarke (c) (NSW)
Cameron White (vc) (VIC)
Travis Birt (TAS)
Daniel Christian (SA)
Brad Haddin (NSW)
Ryan Harris (QLD)
David Hussey (VIC)
Mitchell Johnson (WA)
Shaun Marsh (WA)
Dirk Nannes (VIC)
Steven Smith (NSW)
Shaun Tait (SA)
David Warner (NSW)
Shane Watson (NSW)

Commenting on the squad, NSP Chairman Andrew Hilditch said:

“The NSP has selected a 14-man squad for the two KFC Twenty20 Internationals against the West Indies in Hobart and Sydney as we continue our preparation looking ahead to ICC World Twenty20 to be held in the Caribbean in a few months time.

“The squad remains the same as the group that travelled to Melbourne for the last Twenty20 when Australia defeated Pakistan, the current world champions of shortest format. In addition, we have added Dan Christian to the squad as we continue to look at various options and the balance of the team leading into the ICC World Twenty20.

“Dan has been selected on the back of a successful KFC Twenty20 Big Bash campaign for South Australia and continued good form recently. We see Dan as an explosive all-rounder who could have a good impact for us in Twenty20 internationals.”

Well there'll be 3 missing out, the one who should be wont be.
It's a pretty well balanced squad, we've included an extra bowler, all-rounder and batsman, we have 4 choices to open the batting, at least Haddin knows he'll be playing both games.
HOGG SHIELD DIVISION V WINNER 2018.
