Mal will be rapt that his man Boom boom Birt is getting a gig.
Looks like a good side. Just need a middle order batsmen to replace Clarke and it would be a good side.

Boom Boom Birt is actually a better player in the 50 over format
Hopefully if he gets a gig he uses the 20/20 as a stepping stone
Stunned how Shaun Marsh and Michael Clark get a game
Both are way too slow in this format
The openers will be Watto/Warner so why pick Marsh ?
Please note Marsh and Clarke are both very good 50 over players and Im not being vindictive against either player

I have based my assesments on Marsh on what I have seen in the Big Bash and International games
Too often he is strking at about 100 after the important first 6 overs, which is way slower than most openers in the Big Bash
Did make a fast 100 in the big bash, but did most of the damage late in that innings
I just hope for Shauns sake that the 20/20 games dont stuff his 50 over form where he excels
