Good news for either Peter George and Cam Borgas at least one of them will make the eleven.

George would have to be a certain starter after taking 11 wickets in the last match

Needs to have the mental capacity, stamina and fitness level to get through the 4 day game, hopefully everything comes together for him while he's still young enough to be an impact player for years to come.
They don't just hand out baggy greens and he already has one, he definitely has the talent.

Sorry LQ there has been times when they have sold them cheap and Tait is an example.

Oh come on, he was the talk of the nation back then, the next Thommo. It was probably his downfall, he rose to the top in no time and struggled with the overnight celebrity status.

He never rose to the top!

Not at district level
Not at state level
Not at International level

23 wickets @20 in the 2007 World Cup and the ICC Emerging Player of the Year in the same year seem to suggest he rose to some pretty lofty levels.

Playing for the number 1 cricketing nation is as high as you can go mate, being part of a winning world cup side would be pretty close to the top aswell. The next step up from that world be representing Earth vs Jupiter.

Is this Hodge's last 1st class game for the Vics, pretty emotional game for the Vics but time we sent em packing

yeah shoe boy you made a Stupid call saying Tait didnt deserve a baggy Green and that he never rose to the top, we are talking about a person who has a strike rate of 28 with the ball in ODI's (McGrath has 34), 8/43 in a ODD the best figures ever in Australia in 40 years. and 65 five wickets in one season of Sheffield Shield is the second most and the person who beat him played one more game. and you have seen his figures at the world cup. so he has rose to the top at all three i think. and he will be a big part in australias one day side going in to the next world cup

Hodge will probably send us off with a double ton but thankfully it will be the last one he makes against us!

It is strange that he didn't wait until the end of the season and go out with another Shield in his personal trophy cabinet.

TAIT was a star
Injuries, illness have taken its toll
Hopefully he comes good

I believe this will be Cuzzin HODGEYS 2nd last game
His last would be the NS V VI game on 18/12
Domestic champion batsman

VI I dont think have lost a PC/SS game since the NS V VI final 2007/2008 season
NS had a virtual AU team in that game

VI have the batters
But SA might do better than expected as the Vics with no HARWOOD and perhaps no NANNES/MCKAY could make runs

We have a rough hope if we fluke bowling em out for less than 350 in thier first dig

Bailey has to play so his game is able to develop with confidence. MCG would accept a bit of spin with haberfield maybe the one to carry the drinks.

No chance. Our fast bowling looks thin as it is without taking another one out. Obrien is in pretty good form at the moment and deserves to be the number 1 spinner. Unless the pitch is a violent spinner, (which it never is) Bailey should be carrying the drinks.
