Alviro Petersen, Ryan McLaren and Friedel de Wet are the new faces in an expanded 15-man squad for the first Test against England in Centurion starting on December 16. South Africa's selectors dropped the opening batsman Imraan Khan and allrounder Albie Morkel, who featured in South Africa's starting line-up from their last Test in March, with Graeme Smith and Morne Morkel returning.

Looks like the Poms will win the ODI series with the 5th ODI heading for a washout and become only the third foriegn nation to win a series in South Africa, after the Windies won in 92/93 and the Aussies four times

England's concerns over the fitness of their strike bowler, James Anderson, have deepened after it was revealed that his knee injury will force him to miss the first of two two-day warm-ups, against a South Africa Invitational XI in East London, starting on Wednesday
The injury has baffled England's medical staff, who have found no cause for the pain despite Anderson undergoing scans. As a precaution, the Durham pace bowler, Mark Davies, has been drafted into the squad, with Ryan Sidebottom also struggling with a side strain.

Jacques Kallis is rated as only 50-50 to make the first Test against England at Centurion Park as he continues a slow recovery from the fractured rib that ruled him out of the one-day series. However, on a more positive note for the home side, Dale Steyn is progressing well after his hamstring strain which he picked up in the third ODI at Port Elizabeth

Watched this last night and boring it was!!

This may sound harsh but watching Kallis is like watching paint dry! this bloke has made shit loads of runs but at a strike rate of 40 does he play for the team or red ink

You do realise this is day 1 of a test match?

And he actually he scored at a SR of 55 which was the highest out of any South Africans for the day. Terrific innings.
