AUSTRALIA

SCARDY CAT
PUNTER
CLARKE
NORTH
MCDONALD ????????WATTO???????HUSSEY?????????
HADDIN
JOHNSON
HAURITZ

5 Bowlers is all I ask
Drop a batsman and use Mcdonald [or Watto] as the relief bowler
Drop Hussey if we have to
We let EG tail off the hook twice in the first test
We also have allowed INDIA/SOUTH AFRICA middle orders to recover too often

NAH changed my mind play Huss we will bowl them out sooner or later and win

ENGLAND

Australia should and will have no change to the lineup.

Agreed we don't need to change the side.

We do need one change...........the bloke with the (c) next to his name. That is all..........

I've been as critical as anyone of his performance as captain but who would you suggest should replace him? There isn't a realistic option to be honest. Clarke is nowhere near ready. It's a bit of a worry to be honest.

I know i'll get howled down by some on here but Australia could do a lot worse than having Katich in charge IMHO

Two years ago Clarke was 3 years away from the Captaincy. Going on the way he plays the game, among other factors, today Clarke is 2.9 years away from the Captaincy. It poses the question, how much does Ponting use Clarke's opinion in making decisions these days, a la Boof?

I don't think he would be getting much advice from anyone to be honest. Possibly listen more to Hussey and possibly Haddin than anyone else.

Indeed he is. Australia were hell bent on turning Watto into our very own Flintoff and given the injury history of both you could argue that it has worked out that way

You wont hear me howl u down. The Kat has a pritty good cricket brain from all reports and if he's captain he might even get a bowl from time to time. The last 20 minutes of the first test showed ponting up for what he actually is............a very poor decision maker. No question ponting is one of the greatest batsmen world cricket has seen...........so was Brian Lara.........so was Tendulkar...........and none of them were any good as captain. It is disturbing that we don't appear to have a logical successor waiting in the wings to take over.......is there anyone not in the current team who could be an option???????

The weather forecast is looking OK for Thursday 23 degrees and sunny intervals but Friday it's heavy rain. However this is London and the weather forecast does seem to change every hour so hopefully they're wrong about the rain.

Pontings captaincy maybe R/S but he's making runs when it counts, and really no-one else in that side quite up to it as yet (not that he is). One thinks that if things go wrong and we lose the Ashes he will lose the Captaincy. Must be hard for him though, remember when he took over, ahhh McGrath, Gillespe, Warne, Gilchrist and the list goes on. Yes he has had time to adapt but those that could win him a game in a seesion have now all gone. Tghis series could end up being won by the Captain that makes the least mistakes (bugger 0 all draw)

I'd put Clarke in. We need a bowler with some bloody consistency.

I assume you mean Stuart Clark (no e). Who would you drop?

I reckon play four quicks, Hilfenhaus, Siddle, Johnson and Clark.

So you'd drop Hauritz? Obviously the first Test was played after your bed time.

If the pitch looks like it might spin, drop Siddle. If not, drop Hauritz.
