Australia vs. West Indies-World T20

Postby Gozu » Sat Jun 06, 2009 6:03 pm

Thought maybe our game tonight deserved it's own thread for us to play in. The game's on live at 9:50pm* on Fox Sports and 10:25pm on Channel Nein. Despite the whole Symonds being sent home fiasco if you're half serious we should beat the West Indies. Michael Clarke, Watson, Haddin & Ponting all got amongst the runs in our two warm up wins over Bangladesh & New Zealand and Johnson seemingly appears refreshed and is continuing his great form.

As we've seen last night T20 can be about whoever rocks up on the day with England losing to the Netherlands so hopefully we get Gayle out early and chalk up a solid win without too many scares. The following match on Fox Sports after this one is India vs. Bangladesh.

* That was according to Foxtel's EPG last night, broadcast actually started at 10:20pm.

The Aussies will crush them I reckon but anything can happen in T20. If the Aussies bat and lose a few early wickets it's game on.

Warner saved us from complete humiliation and good to see M. Hussey actually hit a ball in the air in the final over instead of always worrying about his average.

Mitch is 10-15kmph down on pace...and you can hear the joy in the voices of the English commentators. Oh don't worry lads, you'll get yours very very soon. Can't wait for it.
