Goes and takes the team that finished bottom last year to the IPL championship in his first year as coach. The final was a cracker of a game too featuring the two bottom teams from last year (Deccan Chargers & Bangalore). That's a Champions League spot come October too.

Was there a tournament on?
Clearly it has been run and won, does that mean we will have some cricket on soon?

Chargers did well to hold on after posting a not that great total - mainly due to a poor batting performance by Herschelle Gibbs up until the last few overs. Think the Royal Challengers were working on the Warne theory of 'he's scoring so slowly, we'd be stupid to try and get him out'.
As mentioned, well done to Harris as well as Symonds, Gilchrist and Lehmann as coach.
Anil Kumble is superb as a bowler in this form of the game and he could go around for a while yet regardless of what he's said.

So if you didn't watch one ball, how do you know it's shite? Cricket is cricket whatever form it takes. The better players are better players in all forms of the game, and perhaps the short nature of the game makes for inferior players to get lucky more often to influence the result it's great to see which of the good players around can perform under pressure. Very rare for a bowler to have to keep the last over under 10 to win, or a batsman to score more than 15 in the last to win except in 20/20. Seeing that happen more often gives a great indication of which players are really up to doing the job when it really needs to be done.

I must say I dont agree with this comment. If this one over business is what it normally boils down to,perhaps a game of One1 with the best bowler to the best batsman is your idea of 'cricket'.
Many around the world like the T20 concept, many of us think it is worthless.

It's shite, because in cricket I support Australia and the Redbacks.
I can't get interested in a team full of overpaid players strung together from everywhere.
Where is the passion and excitement watching this stuff. I go off my rocker watching 'my' teams play and throw things etc when they lose a close one.
What is it with this tournament, 'oh damn, nearly got there, oh well what is the next game on, here we go, I think I'll barrack for Deccan.
No thanks....

Spot on, how could you support a team with Dravid or Kumble in it? I really dont understand how Aussies pick a "team" to support. Perhaps its the bright coloured uniforms. Oooooh, colourful....

Cricket is a fair contest between bat and ball. T20 is not. Each to their own though. If you enjoy the game then good for you.
As for the better players being the better players in all forms of cricket that is just plain wrong. If this were the case why would completely different sides get picked for Test cricket, one day cricket and T20's?
