Ponting has been garunteed to lead the side in all forms of the game until the next limited overs world cup then I assume he is expected to retire once its over as he will be 36 or soon after.
The current list below and My opinions
Ricky Ponting - safe
Doug Bollinger - taken a 5 fa in Dubai so could be useful in both forms
Nathan Bracken - Limited Overs player only Test career seems over.
Beau Casson - seems to be out of favour with selectors for what ever reason and is gone
Stuart Clark - has had injury troubles this summer, currently 33 needs to state intentions now for 2011.
Michael Clarke - skipper in waiting, just needs to keep that missus of his happy
Brad Haddin (wk) - not going to be a Gilly but he's the best we've got.
Nathan Hauritz - not the saviour to the national team's spinning woes but he's gunna have to do.
Matthew Hayden - Already gone
Ben Hilfenhaus - Work horse and needs an extended run in the side. looks like at this stage a better Test proposition than limited overs
Brad Hodge - is definitely gone, hasn't played for Aust in any form of the game for almost 12 months.
James Hopes - Limited overs only Test chances past him now hit 30 will be around for the next WC.
David Hussey - struggled of late in the Limited overs arena and needs to perform or get out.
Michael Hussey - same as David but maybe running out of credits. Must perform in the Ashes or future in doubt.
Phil Jaques - has struggled with injury since the WI tour and age is starting to disadvantage him now Hughes is on the scene.
Mitchell Johnson - A must and stay fit. Has a smokin hot missus so he needs to be there

Simon Katich - current Test Opener and should keep his spot much to the dislike of some posters on here

Brett Lee - trying to get back on the field after a big injury layoff. Is his desire still there after off field woes. Needs to stay fit or get out.
Shaun Marsh - currently injury prone but averages 41 from 15 LO games. must perform once he gets back on the park or maybe his little brother will overtake?
Ashley Noffke - same as Hodge
Peter Siddle - has had injury troubles previously but has shown potential in games played so far.
Andrew Symonds - may be asked to take a pay cut due to his off field antics, may not be around for the next WC
Shaun Tait - injury prone but they supported him through his mental troubles now must do the same for his latest injury woes
Adam Voges - Turning 30 at the beginning of this summer played only 1 LO game in 2007. think his chance is gone.
David Warner - promising 20/20 player but needs to convert it into other forms of the game. Age on his side
Shane Watson - Must give up trying to be a bowler. he is no good to us injured. Maybe after his Dubai efforts he will see the light....
Cameron White - Not a Test player and only a fill in Limited overs player IMO. May have better options for 2011.
of the others to have got a call up
Jason Krejza - promising debut but stuffed around since. To fight it out with Hauritz for the no. 1 spinners spot.
Andrew McDonald - glimpses of talent shown so far but needs to build on it.
Phillip Hughes - There for the long haul.
Bryce McGain - Age is helping so he should accept it and move on.
Marcus North - brilliant debut but is 30 in July could be around in 2011
Callum Ferguson - unlucky not to be going to England for the 20/20 WC but should be a shoe in for 2011.
Brett Geeves - haven't seen enough to make comment
Ben Laughlin - ditto
Ryan Harris - will be 30 at the beginning of the summer maybe a bit too far down the list for a regular gig.
Your thoughts gentlemen?
