I smell trouble. This Pakistan series eats right into the IPL season and the big bucks coming for Symonds. What are the odds he retires or acts up again before leaving for that series later this month?

Add the name Ben Laughlin to the list of kissed on the d$ck sportspeople...i reckon i could name 10 other bowlers who could be picked in front of him, starting with Humphrey B Bear.

I reckon the lad has a few clues. Have you seen him bowl? Subtle variations in pace, good line and length. Who are the ten other bowlers who should have got the nod in your opinion?

Good One..

Who would you pick? Second most wickets in the one day series. and in the top 3 by a long way... 23 wickets at a average of 14.83 in 11 games and apparently does not deserve his spot. Do your research or watch some cricket before making silly comments.......

But anyway name those 10 bowlers?

Geeves has been sent home from South Africa with an injury and will miss the Pakistan series. Stuart Clark is flying over as his replacement in the squad for both this series and the Pakistan series. Clark is not expected to play in the 4th ODI against South Africa.

Allow me to start the list;

Clinton McKay, Steve Magoffin, Mark Cameron, Dirk Nannes, Peter Siddle, Ashley Noffke, Ryan Harris. Im not sure which of those are injured at the moment so maybe there's a reason some of them weren't considered. Mark Cleary ended the season for the redbacks in pretty good touch too from what i remember, but as he plays for SA, he naturally can't be considered.

However, i reckon i could name about 30 bowlers better than Nathan Hauritz............

I could see where you were going for a bit but then this gem about Hauritz. Granted i could name 30 bowlers who are better than he is but i couldn't name an Australian who bowls spin who is better (past players excluded). Sure he aint great but he is the best of a bad bunch and at least he doesn't leak runs like the other options.
