Question for Dutchy

Postby rod_rooster » Sat Mar 21, 2009 12:53 am

Care to dispute the following? I mean it's fine for you to slag off a guy like Katich who actually performs but when i suggest that a 37 year old bloke is not up to it you seem to take offence. Perhaps the 10 overs 2 maidens and no wickets for 93 runs suits your thinking. For me it suggests i was right and he is shit. Prove me wrong mate.

on that basis Shane Warne would have only ever played 1 game for us

As for Katich, he was in, he was our hope in the first dig, did you see the shot he got out on? terrible....

Is Katich ever going to get your respect Dutchy  ? The man is doing very well atm and has shown to nearly everyone that he belongs at the elite level. As for his shot yes it wasn't great but Ricky Ponting and Sachin Tendulkar play poor shots every now and again should they be dropped as well?

Shane Warne was in his early 20's, did not go for over 9 runs an over and he had plenty of time to develop and forge a career. McGain could have used his seniors discount card to buy his whites, he is not going to get better and currently he has proven he isn't any good. You can hardly compare the two situations.

As for Katich, top score again. I guess we should drop the bloke even though he keeps making runs. Sensible move

Ha ha you remind me of one of my captains. We played a game one day and I made 40 odd but played a stupid shot and got out (as us D graders do) and the skipper was into me. I quietly suggested to him that perhaps he should have gone to have a chat with some of the blokes that didn't manage to get to double figures!

As for Brycey, you're right he is a gun. A very quick century in this match.

regards,

Batsman hate ducks more than 20-40s mate, As if you hit 20-40s you know you are in some form but need to work on technique, Ducks just prove you are not up to standard.

Obviously never played the game?

You can easily get a good cod and snick up in your first over, getting your eye in and getting to 30 and then getting out by not concentrating or taking it too easy is the most frustrating part of batting IMO
