Mitchell Johnson's workload - should we be concerned?

There have been some frightening numbers thrown around during this Saffers series thus far - namely the number of overs Johnson has bowled since our tour of India, several hundred iirc and that doesn't include ODIs/T20s. With all the euphoria surrounding his improvement of late I'm worried that appropriate player management has taken a back seat and we might see him burn out.
Thoughts?

He's young, incredibly strong and fit, I don't think we should be worrying just yet.
Although in saying that, he might well be stuffed for the 3rd test. Maybe if we wrap up the series in this test rest him for the 3rd? They probably wouldn't but there is good reason to do so.
I'm a bit concerned about what state he's in for the Ashes.

Should be rested from all ODI games and 20/20 for the time been. He should give the IPL a miss as well.

Great post Ned, agreed entirely, this guy at the moment is the heart and sole of our bowling attack, his pressure is getting others wickets and his late order batting is more than valuable, thing is you dont get him out first ball he seems to score well cant afford for him to burn out cause there is no ready replacement

Johnson isn't playing in the IPL again this year but I'd be tempted to rest him for some of or all of the T20 and ODI games on this tour and would let him come back home for a rest during the Pakistan series to keep him all rested up for the Ashes tour. I wouldn't even bother playing him at the T20 World Cup in England prior to the Ashes either.

All the senior players I would rest from the 20/20 world cup, an Ashes series win is more important.
The 20/20 World Cup side should look something like this.
S.Marsh
D.Warner
R.Quinney
A.Symonds
D.Hussey
C.White
J.Hopes
M.Wade
N.Hauritz
B.Geeves
N.Bracken
