SACA Members on-line auction.

Is this the most ridiculous thing you've ever seen?

As they're tearing down he old members stand, the SACA are giving members the chance to bid on items such as a beige coloured hand rail, a timber door and even a blue timber table!

Whoever came up with the idea surely didn't complete a cost/benefit analysis...

The cost to design, print and post the booklet containing the auction items would surely be more expensive than what they'll receive for the crap on offer!

Did the same thing at the MCG couple of years ago, and they made a bit of a profit on it, though I think here its not money being the sole reason, there are a lot of people who would be interested in a piece of Adelaide Oval history.

Yeah I did have a chuckle at the hand rails!

What I really wanted wasnt in the catalogue - the cement urinal, a portion of that would be great in the backyard for BBQ's!

Agreed. That is without question the best toilet facility in Australia. Has there ever been a line up to get a spot??? I didn't even consider that that would be disappearing... :(

The turnstiles would be pretty cool, but at over $2500 each, they're pretty pricey...
