REB would be delighted that we have named our cricket side after him.

GOLD

Finally some recognition for all those hot days spent gently patting full tosses back to the bowler in true English style.

Supposedly James smith retired from all forms of cricket 2 months ago hence missing 3 or so grade games- then changed his mind a few weeks ago- now hes in the state side

I think he hurt his shoulder playing 2nd XI late last year maybe it was injury related.
Cranmer is white hot with the willow at the moment. dislocated a kneecap in the Grade team of the year game and first game back?? walks out to the crease at 3 for stuff all and crafts a handy 166

Why do we only pick 3 quicks and a batsman to be 12th man? You need options for bowling morning of the game depending on the surface, also quicks can pull up with a niggle morning of the match and you need a back up ready. We have 2 spin options so it gives you the flexability to come up with the best option morning of the game. Also it's good to have a bowler 12th so he can go out the back and bowl to incoming batsman to get them better prepared. I think it is amature hour how the SACA pick a young guy 12th man who they know won't play. You need to cover all attacking possabilities to take 20 wickets over the 4 days. Every test playing country and other states adopt this policy but SACA think it's club cricket still. I hope they aren't doing this and the kid might play and bat 6 Manou 7 where he should be. Time will tell.
