West End Redbacks v the Bushrangers Shield team

by the joker
Manou
Klinger
Harris
Cooper
Borgas
Ferguson
Christian
O’Brien
Weeks
George
Cullen
Cleary
Out (from last Shield team): Khan, Wise. In: Cooper, Weeks

The match starts friday at the MCG.

Sorell said that the spot that Khan left was out of Cooper and Cosgrove who has Back to Back hundreds for the Jets , so if Cooper Strugles in this match we could se cossie in the next shield game.

Send cossie out in this heat wave. He might lose a couple of kilos and get back to his optimum playing weight of around 110kg's ;)

  Tony Lockett was at 110kg for much of his career, mind you he was 6 foot 3, that certainly puts it in perspective.

Cooper's a star, don't worry about him.

anyone know what the Vic side looks like.

Is it possible that Hodge, Hussey and White all miss this game?

All three will be missing. Hodge injured and White and Hussey in Australian ODI squad.

Not the best start by SA.

Vics are 1/94.

Mash 15*
Jewell 53*

Weeks dismissed Rogers leg before for 24.

Cullen has 0/37 off his 5.

Over 28.2: Cleary to Jewell, one run, DROPPED, edged to 1st slip, dropped by Harris

1/110 now.

Cullen has 6 overs for 47

Look at the Vic side and they are not that strong. There is no excuse to let a side who has Crosthwaite listed to bat at 5 get a big score. Looks headed that way though. Maybe a couple of quick wickets will change things though. Fingers crossed.

Agreed RR. If they are playing crosthwaite as a bat then they are thin in that department.

Vics batting first are 3/187 in the 52nd Over
Jewell 105, Rogers 24 & Quiney 6 all out. Mash 44* & McDonald 0* at the crease.

Part Timer Dan Harris as 2/10 from 7 overs and Weeks has the other. Cullen has the figures of 7 overs 0/52.

And with Wade and Crosthwaite in we should be able to make it 7 fa 250 and all out for no more than 325.
