Good to see Ryan Harris in the 20/20 australian team.... good luck to him. Also can not understand why they would drop hayden and leave marsh in the team.. Marsh hasn't scored a run in the local comp

Heres hoping so. I don't want to see a great of the game further embarass himself by going on past his use by date.

Tait bowls 4 overs in the last 6 weeks, 2 of them pooh and gets a guernsey, not that I'm complaining. It just displays the lack of depth we have around at the moment. 10 years ago he would've needed at least 4 good spells to get a look in.

I thought Dighton from Tasmania showed alot during the last T20 game, where is he?

Also, why was Michael Clarke not in the T20 team? Spin bowling is invaluable in that form of the game, plus his obvious fielding and batting abilities.

clarke is rcovering from his broken thumb
dighton has made 1 run in the twenty20 comp so far this year although his od form has been pretty good
tait and hilfy both probably dont deserve their one-ay spots at the moment- i would have harris above hilfy on this years one day form where hilfy has struggled for wickets
johnson lso having a rest after his heavy workload in the tests

I think they're just resting him.
He normally captains in place of Ponting so I guess they're just rotating.

Can anyone else understand why, with all the bowlers getting Test opportunities at the moment, that Bracken doesn't even get a mention? He seems to be regarded by the selectors as only a one-day or 20/20 bowler. Surely if he's getting the best batsmen in the world out at the top of the order in a one-dayer, he can do so in a Test? There's too much pigeon-holing by the selectors. He absolutely HAS to go to England. We need blokes who can swing the ball over there, and there's probably no better swing bowler in the country for mine.

And he's got a hot missus, be nice to look at her in the crowd a bit more when he's playing! ;)

I thought they might of tried to get krejza a gig in one of the limited over sides. Hauritz seems to be very much in favour atm.

Marsh is lucky to get picked but would have been unlucky to get dropped because his form in the recent series for Australia is excellent, he would want to get runs in this series or he may not play against the Kiwis. you gotta think Callum Ferguson is in the mix now, he just needs to keep getting runs

He has a pretty good one day record since he has been with NSW.

Well if he can't make runs there against our attack then he certainly shouldn't be going on tour.

Bracken opens the bowling in ODI matches - top order batsman are looking to attack while the field is up and have to play him, therefore as long as he gets his line right he will always take wickets. Bracken also bowls at the death of ODI matches - once again batsman are trying to pile on as many runs as possible during the last 10 overs. He is excellent at swinging the white ball, which coupled with the left-arm angle of his action make him very potent.

In Test matches however, batsman will just sit on him and pick him off at ease if he can't swing the ball.

Did they bowl with white balls in 04/05 Shield cricket???
"...including a first-innings 6 for 27 in their 2004-05 final win over Queensland and 7 for 4 earlier that season when South Australia fell for 29."
We've got all these blokes that would prefer to bowl with the wind at the moment, surely an into the wind guy like Bracken (currently the number 1 ranked ODI bowler in the world), would be more than useful.
