As much as i think the guy is an ordinary player i do feel for him with the injuries he has had. His body simply can't cope with the workload that's put on it. As much as his bowling has improved recently he simply needs to give it away if he wants to play cricket at any level long term. His batting is what he needs to concentrate on and whilst i don't think he will ever be good enough to play Test cricket simply as a batsman if he makes enough runs who knows. One thing is for sure he won't play much cricket at any level if he keeps breaking down and if he continues to bowl it is inevitable that he will.

Think you have said it all RR, I really do feel for the guy, as you RR have pointed out now for 2 to 3 years, give away the bowling Watto and you may have some chance of playing cricket full time

Why would we want to keep considering a guy who has managed to get stress fractures of the back from carrying the drinks!

Poor Watto! With Symonds injured he had the opportunity to show us all what he can do and his body has yet again denied him. The timing just couldn't be worse with the wheels well and truly falling off for the Australians.

I do feel sympathy for him in regards to his injuries.
They always seem to happen at him at inopportune times too.

A very sensible post, thankyou.
What tears me up is that this is possibly the worst timing ever, it just couldn't be worse. He was about to make his mark and this happens, just not fair.

It only really sank in (and I realised it wasn't a joke) when I flicked over to Fox Sports News and saw him giving a press conference.

Heard this, whilst driving around listening to the cricket today, and really feel for the bloke.
Poor Bastard...just can't take a break.
Here's an idea ? Learn how to bowl spin ! Krejza is a spin bowler as he kept breaking down trying to
bowl quick. Hell if Symonds can send down half nude nuts then surely he'd be able to learn the craft.
