Assuming this is the Australian side:

Hayden
Katich
Ponting
Clarke
Hussey
Symonds
Haddin
Johnson
Lee
Krejza
Clark

Australia A:

Rogers
Jaques
North
Hodge
Hussey
Watson
Paine
Hauritz
Siddle
Tait
Bollinger

Australia B:

Marsh
Hughes
Klinger
White
Pomersbach
Vogues
Ronchi
Casson
Hilfenhaus
Geeves
Bracken

All I can say is strooth. How awesome would it be if they made Aus A an international side. They would be up there with any other nation.

Bring back those matches Australia A played against the touring sides - didn't Australia A thrash Sri Lanka in Adelaide, and then played another match which had 25 overs a side?

Yes. Pretty sad, brilliant, funny that our second side demolished an international side so bad they had to put on another game to give the crowd their money's worth.

Yes, all out for 66, extras were the highest score.

and that was a tour match

I still chuckle at the the 1994/5 season when they put the A's in the normal OD series and then made the finals against big brother

And did pretty well too, certainly not embarrassed. When you look at their side it wasn't hard to see why. And virtually the whole country were going for the A's, which is half the reason the scraped the concept. Now everyone wants it back.

NfC this was your quote from the Phil Hughes Thread

Rogers is there abouts,
North no way. I'd say it goes something like this...
Marsh
Jaques
Rogers
Hughes
Kilnger
North

Yet you pick North in the Aussie A side Before Hughes, klinger and Marsh.

North isn't an opener, he's a #3 or #6. All the others are openers, well you could say Klingon is a #3 too but I prefer him opening.

Klinger hasn't opened in a first class match this season and he's made almost 800 runs. Surely you wouldn't suggest moving him from his spot at 3?

Paved the way for Greg Blewett to make the test side.

33 players and only 2 South Aussies (and 1 of them is an import)

Does sum up the Redbacks situation well.

I you sure? I could've sworn he has opened.

Not in first class cricket. Been at 3 all year. I thought they would move him to open when Plant went and have Younis at 3 but they moved Younis from 4 to opening in the last game and kept Klinger at 3.

Openers this season have been Harris, Plant, Cooper, Smith and Younis. Not very stable is it :?

Has the talent. Needs to do more and on a consistent basis.

Agree. Bracken would be very close to being in the first side particularly in England. If only he'd get a haircut he might be taken seriously ;)
