Flem has got to stop trying to be funny on the radio. His comedic timing is about as good as the timing on a Chris Martin cover drive.

Top bloke though.

Whatever happened to Terry Jenner doing special comments on the ABC in Adelaide? He was one of the best around, much better than Keith Stackpole

Yeah,was a great hat trick.

Yeah,when I shortened my run.

Yeah,Glenn always got to pick which end he bowled at.

Yeah,he doesn't mind talking about himself.

I like listening to Damien Fleming. Quite interested in his Bowlology. ABC Commentary is good. Especially when Kerry O Keefe is on.

I like Fleming. He might talk about himself a lot, but he's usually taking the piss. If you honestly think he's bragging then you have problems.

Spot on. Flem's a great bloke with a very good sense of humour. He doesn't take himself seriously, so it's a pity some listeners do.

Never said you had to like him. And again, I'll say if you think he's seriously bragging about his achievements then you have a problem. The problem of sensing when someone's taking the piss out of themselves. Next you'll be telling me KOK is a serious guy!

You don't like me saying you have problems? Well perhaps you should start by not telling me what I can or can't say!

I went to a Jason Gillespie Testimonial function last night where Ian Healy and Flem got up and generally too the micky out of Dizzy and their times on tour. Having read this thread before hand and now after the event he is not that bad at being funny generally at his own expense.

However he is no Flipper Phillips he is funny as fu*k

The ABC commentary is usually spot on. Sometimes even better than the actual cricket itself !! But it's Flem's nasal delivery that puts me off.... Henry Lawson used to be similar... used to commentate with the microphone stuck up his nose and you could her every inhale and exhale !!
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.
