SA V VI SHIELD GAME

Postby mal » Mon Oct 13, 2008 10:06 pm

SA [possible line ups]

HARRIS
KLINGER
PLANT
FERGUSON
BORGAS
OBREIN
MANOU
CLEARY
CULLEN
TAIT
WISE
ROFE [12TH MAN]

VI

ROGERS
JEWELL
HODGE
HUSSEY
QUINNEY
MCDONALD
WADE
WRIGHT
HARWOOD
HOLLAND
NANNES
MCKAY [12TH MAN]

KLINGER/WISE /OBRIEN to make thier SS debuts + no COSGROVE
WRIGHT [TA to VI] to possibly debut for VI + good to see him back

VI will win this game quite easily as have way too much talent
In ROGERS/HODGE/THE DAVE they have 3 awesome SS batsman
And the x factor JON dutchy HOLLAND to debut as the spinner
SA will need TAIT to take a stack of wickets

SA will need FERGUSON to make a big score and not his usual 10 to 70 runs
This guy has so much talent and it frustrates me to see him get starts and not converting to tons
Its invariably short and sweet

Watching a FERGUSON innings is like making love to Jennifer HAWKINS and lasting 15 seconds.

VICS to win this outright

I must say that i agree with all of your points there Mal. Lets hope we can make a score over 300 and at least get some confidence into the team. Would be good to see the ex-Vics stick it up them too (apologies to Ted Whitten).

I know it would be unbelievably frustrating, but I'd still take the 15 seconds...

Plant just dropped Rogers -- it went hard to him at 2nd slip but he should have caught it

Would have been handy

Hooray a wicket.

1/144 at the moment with Hodge at the crease and DJ Huss to come. It's going to be a long day and half in the field.

He was listed by Mal as the 12th man so who dropped out of the squad for him to play does anyone know?
