So I've read that M Vaughan and P Collingwood have quit as Captains of their respective sides.
It doesn't mention they've retired from those forms of cricket.
Is that the case? Or is there another article out there?
Is K Pietersen a shoe in?

Yeah this is a Huge story in the UK. it looks like that Vaughan was pushed to resign by the ECB and was not going to get picked for the next test so called it quits.
he hasent retired yet but has ruled him self out of the next test. will be interesting if he is there in 12 months for the ashes. His form has be very average but he is one of the Most Technically sound batsmen you will ever see. cant forget that innings at Adelaide oval.
As for Collingwood he said the captaincy was to much pressure and his batting was suffering.
and the fact that he captained the T20 world cup where england were discraceful. and captain of two losing series against New zealand and The windies. you wouldnt want that on your CV. and he has to serve a 4 game ban for slow over rate
and kevin Pietersen will be named captain of the Test and one day captain on monday. lets se how he goes i wonder if he will be as attacking with his captaincy as batting

yeah will be very interesting to see how he handles it- i think if strauss was in better form i mayhave given him the test captaincy but kp is definitely the star performer in recent times- i just hope it doesnt effect his performances like flintoff's when he was given the captaincy
