SOUTH Australia off spinner Daniel Cullen has been called into Australia's limited-overs squad for the coming tour of Bangladesh, at the expense of Victoria paceman Mick Lewis.

Cullen, 21, is one of the most promising bowlers on the domestic scene, and chairman of selectors Trevor Hohns said it was important that he gained as much international experience as possible.

"The Test squad has played some good cricket in South Africa and we see no reason to change a formula that is working well at the moment," Hohns said after naming an unchanged Test squad to play two matches in Bangladesh.

"With the players in the current squad we feel we are well covered for the conditions that may prevail in Bangladesh.

"We have brought Daniel Cullen into the one-day squad to give him an opportunity to perform at the next level.

Well, well. It looks like the selectors may have done something that they said they were actually going to do - bring in youth to the squad! If any selector ever suggests that Mick Lewis is youthful (31!) and good enough to play for Australia ever again he/she should be shot. Numerous times.

Good to see him get a call-up. Was a little surprised that they didn't include Cossy and taken 15 away. Would've been an ideal time to draft both in.

Thats ridiculous, it's like taking away the Bangladeshi's best batsman ...

Good luck to the kid, not only does he look to have plenty of talent and a bright future, but he's also put the runs on the board!

What - No Mick Lewis - the best at the death bowler in Australia! Must be worried that he will turn in worse figures against the Mighty Bangladesh, who hold a 1 game winning streak over us. Still even the Washingon Generals beat the Globetrotters once

Well done to D Cullen, it would be a great Honour to be named in an Australian Team, let alone the Sqaud, hope he does well and gets a game.
