SA vs NSW - Adelaide Oval

Postby blink » Fri Mar 10, 2006 2:48 pm

Redbacks have made a solid start

1/147 45 overs

Deitz 63*
Borgas 37*

We bag Deitz, saying he should be dropped, then he pulls a Katich on us and makes runs. Just how many runs he will get remains to be seen.

Wasn't complaining Booney, just expressing my shock and the irony of Deitz finally making some runs!!

Redbacks now 1/214 59 overs (tea)

Deitz 97*
Borgas 71*

Does anyone know what has to happen for us to make the Pura Cup final? Obviously we have to win this match, but what other teams have to win/lose for us to get in?

Well of course we need an outright win. Have to get all 6 points.

We need WA to win First Innings points against Vic but we also need the overall match to end in a draw. I think thats all we need.

Not too much penetration there with the Blues attack. It is ironic that the selectors that you lot have bagged all year long for picking NSW players to play for Australia may end up giving you a passport to the Gabba in a few weeks. :x

2/352 Deitz 154, Borgas 137* Fanatasic for both players, and I feel this is the defining moment in Borgas' 1st class career. Stand by for many more runs from Cameron Borgas.

Great run rate. Fantastic effort by the lads.

Nice to see Hodges sticking it to the selectors too. That's showing them!

woo hoo, Deitz turns it on again in the last game (again) to save his contract.........

One of the arguements for why Dean Jones was dropped was that he never really turned it on when a trophy was up for grabs, only when it was over.......

et tu Deitz??
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Well we can thank Andrew Hilditch to some degree. Apparently he's the one that's enamoured with Clark.

Great play by th guys yesterday but it will mean nothing due to the Vic v WA game. We needed them to score runs a couple of months ago, if anything this adds to the frustration and shows this is another lost season.
