why ? these blokes are 'supposed' to be professionals, i'd think that hayden must now have pressure on him to perform soon

i think your onto something Thiele. i don't really think they have much choice. PONTING must be first to have a rest, maybe give him 2 games.

Ponting has had a bad series who knows what a break might do. it is only a suggestion

Surely its time for Ponting to have a rest. A break would probably do him the world of good, just like Thiele said.....

Time for something that's for sure but will one or two days break help, think a few of these guys have more on their minds than they want to admit, good to see however Michael Clarke step up yet another notch

I'm more that happy for players to be rested (from ODI's not Tests) but if they then are prepared to play in the IPL then they lose their right to claim there is too much cricket. Basically there is too much expected of them unless the money is right

Yeah that's what 5hits me...Ponting comes out and says the ICC/CA etc etc should schedule around the 20/20 tourny, yet bet you bottom dollar if they do that, and he goes along with say Haydos, Clarke etc, then later on in the year they'll have a whing about too much cricket....
