Victoria move 5 points clear in second position in the Franger Cup after defeating Queensland quite easily.
Brad Hodge jumped back into form with a brilliant 119*, and he was very well supported by Cameron White who made
64* in their 157 patnership.
Hard Road back for SA or Queensland IMO.
Been a good year for the weeks, Won the 20/20, Equal top in the 4 day comp and now outright 2nd in the one dayers. Can they take out the whole 3?

Win our last 1 day match with a bonus point and hope that Victoria lose both 1 day matches.

the vics only have one game left aswell. but sa will have to win the toss bowl and then try and get the runs that tassie set within 25 overs to get the double bonus point. and still hope the blues beat the vics. if we finish on equal points they have a better NRR. i think SA should look forward to next year

I reckon the Tigers will be hard to stop in the Franger and don't discount the Blues in the four day comp but it could be game over if they can get Katich cheap.
Victoria
should be dominating as the Backs and the WACAs don't have the Cattle, The Tigers have gone off the boil, the Blues have too many youngsters covering for Australian players and the Bulls also have a high rate of Oz reps as well as a heavy injury toll.

I think WA are under achieving to be honest, terrific bunch of players who could just about be anything (Voges, Pomersbach, Marsh, North and Ronchi) then the steady older heads like Langer, Ervine, and Co.
The bowling is not terrible either with Dorey, Innes, Macgoffin, Edmonson and Heal as well as handy part timers like Voges.
Should be performing better IMO.

That attack is not that flash. Dorey is a dud and Magoffin, Edmonson and Heal are only just handy at this stage. Innes isn't too scary at all and Ervine is useless. The batsmen you mentioned are good but as a whole I stand by my 'don't have the cattle comment' and results of this season have illustrated this.
There isn't much room for half a side in a six team comp. SA's Bowlers and WA's batsmen...hmm, now that would be a reasonable side.

Yeah i agree with the attack is not that flash but should be higher than bottom in the Franger with those sort of batsmen. It has not been a horrible year for them but i think if they can get a bowler or two of quality next year then they may be the big improvers.
Speaking of big improvers Petter Siddle must be catching the eyes of a few selectors. Has been brillaint lately.

I would like to see what percentage of Siddle's wicket haul is made up Redbacks 'batsmen' before I'd rate him. Diddly medium pacer aint he?

He is only 24
Nah is quicker than people think. Right arm fast medium is how he is listed.
I spoke to a bloke who plays Premier Cricket in Melbourne the other day and he said he is the scariest bowler he has faced because of his pace and bounce. Probably nudge the 140 mark.

Well Melbourne District Cricket batsmen are probably on a par with Redbacks wickets I'd suggest.....
