W.Indies 2/11
Pitch doing Plenty, The Ball moving all over the place.
Apparently it's an under prepared Pitch due to Rain in Recent days. Right Decision to send them in But the W.Indies have still got the Immovable Rock in Chanderpaul to come although i cant see him getting much support.

Not a bad idea to send them in, the Proteas bowled them out cheaply twice in the second test. Only Chanderpaul stands in their way I reckon.

Oh Dear, Oh My.
Looking at a 2 Day Test match here on this Pitch.
Windies 6/76 (20 overs)

Ramdin having a swish 27* (21 balls)

Must be a BAD Pitch when "The Rock" Chanderpaul only lasts 3 Balls
Now his average Hours per Dismissal is down to about 12 hours over the last year.

There was a bit in it but thats how a first morning of a test should be.. There was no way the wicket was a all out for 139 wicket. As has been proved by SA and Smith who are now currently 1/163 with Smith back in form.

Smith 104*
Amla 31*

And Kallis still to come. SA to win this by an innings + and take the series easily in the end.

A Bit Harsh ? The Windies are level 1 - 1 in this series with the 2nd Ranked Test team in the world.

Harsh yes but I'm getting so fed up with how pathetic they are. I have no idea how they won the 1st test. Flukes do happen.

At stumps on day 1 SA in a very comfortable position leading by 74 runs already with 9 wickets in hand.

1/213

Smith 122*
Amla 55*

Kallis still to come.

Shaun Pollock on return did the damage with 4/35, Nel also picked up 3/45

My most disturbing observation was the size of the crowd there, i swear we get more to a Redbacks franger game than the crowd for day 1 of this test.

I would have thought they would have piled in the gates with the series being 1 all, the closest series they would have had in a while plus the return of home town hero Pollock but there was no one there and no atmosphere to boot.

TEST CRICKET IS IN SERIOUS TROUBLE IF THE SECOND BEST TEAM IN TEST CRICKET CANT GET A CROWD THROUGH THE GATES IN A TIED SERIES WHERE WINNER TAKES ALL.

Only sides that really pull a crowd now are the Aussies (anywhere they play basically) and England at home, has been that trend now for many years

Yep, South African crowds have bene shocking for quite some time. Not so much ODI cricket, they like that, but no one turns up for tests.

This is exactly why the 20-20 knockers need to take a birds eye perspective

Its the money from ODI's first and 20-20 now that allows countries to stage Test matches that, in most cases, are run at a loss

The southern Africanas are now 1/249, this could be one hell of a 1st innings score
