These stats (not sure whether this includes yesterdays tally of 3/5) suggest that Pup should be given the ball a bit more often.
He generated enough turn, bowled to the correct area, & more importantly, dismantled the Indian tail & won the game.
I would like to see him & Roy take the mantle as team spinners in the current climate, allowing Australia to go in with 4 quicks in most Tests

FYI: Clarke's 3/5 is included in those statistics.
Also, 9 wickets at 5.11 against India.

Great stats v India but if he had to bowl in the First innings when the pitch
was tailor made for the Indians he would have got about 1/100 of 15 overs
He is a batsman who can bowl occasionally when a situation demands
SYMONDS is a better spinner
HOGG is even better and still our best option until stuey is back

If Symonds + Macgill bowl in tandem we would have
Monkey + Magilla [the gorilla]

As for the Pup the Magic spinner heading
Ingenuity at its best from one of the best

I think the stats indicate his captains have used him wisely more than him being a star bowler

Not suggesting he's the next Warne, but suggesting he's worth offering the ball to a tad more than has been the case.

Almost as good as your bowling Punk. Its just inspirational

I think Clarke might just warrent a bit more of the ball. He tends to make the batsmen play which is more than Hogg was doing in that second dig when we needed a spinner to let a couple rip. Symonds was very good with the ball. Anyway Pup was marvilous and we all thank him for that, now get some runs mate then we can truly bast in his glory

i think that is the key point- when the wicket suites he is more than handy but on flat decks he struggles to have any penetration as his 2 wickets in first innings at an average of 68.5 shows and he hasnt taken a wicket in australias first bowling innings since 2005 against new zealand

because he spins the ball away from the right handers- 2 wickets were ct in slip
