Clarke won't be dropped unless he has a Chappell/Tayloresque poor run with the bat. If they do bring in a new player, it wo'nt be Noffke, more likely to be another NSW player Thornely maybe .

Noffke gives us an extra bowler which we need. Symonds has me now convinced he's up to standard with the bat but he'll never be a real threat with the ball. Noffke is obviously a very good bowler and he can bat.

That will be an interesting selection problem, perhaps RR's mate who suceeds so well opening in Watto will come into consideration (joking of course), could think of a worse scenario or replacement than the one you have suggested
