Shane Bond looks to have played his last game for his country apparently signing with the Rebel 20/20 league in India for a contract worth somewere in the vacinity of 600'000 which means he will be "overlooked" for selection

Will be a huge loss for NZ, They will now lose Fleming and Bond with Fleming retiring after the tour of England. This cant be good for NZ cricket.?

Disappointing.
A very good player when on the park.
Sadly this 20/20 business could dilute the already thin ranks of players across the world.

When the NZCC realise he is their only pace bowler of real quality, he will be welcomed back after the 20/20.

I think Cricket Administrators need to find a way to work with the India 20/20 thing rather than take the approach they have on Bond

Smacks of the stupid attitude of the ACB when WCC was on .... pretending WCC was a flash in the pan and using banning tactics as a deterrent. Didn't work then the only loser was the ACB - I reckon the same will happen here.

Let the players do the 20/20 thing if they aren't representing their country and then players have the best of both worlds
