The other Boxing day test starts in about five hours time in Seth Efrica (v West Indies) at Port Elizabeth.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I always thought it was Sarf Effiker! LOL

Wish Michael Haysman was still calling cricket instead of getting a transfer to the USA! Great batsman for SA who should have had a test or two by the time the Rebel series came about.

W.I. 4/281 Bravo 0* Chanderpaul 43* (would have to be in the top 3 hardest batsmen in world cricket to dismiss).

After a cautious innings, Samuels sped from 67 to 94 with a flurry of boundries then fell to the new ball driving wildly at a wide one, edging to Kallis who took a Hot catch at 3rd slip.
Again the Windies' problem will be taking wickets with their pedestrian attack on a RARE good Sth African Batting Pitch.

Samuels had his luck though - caught on a no ball. While an appeal for a catch was disallowed as the ball hit his glove when it was off the bat.

W.Indies 408 Chanderpaul 104 (394 mins 253 balls) What would the W.Indies be without him?
Only Dizzy Gillespe puts as High a price on his his wicket as Shiv.

Gibbs OUT for a Duck SA 1/8

Interesting second days play.
Mirrors the Aus/Ind match in some ways.
Good innings from Shiv and reasonable support from two tailenders who were mocked on the first day.
Interesting situ just before last wicket fell. Tail ender dismissed on a no ball - the no ball was for having three behind square. Very rare.

Are you a bit confused there MAL ? Draw is $1.90
W.I. are $3.20 so there for you must think the Windies are terrific Value ?
Tabsportbet Have the Windies $2.70
With the Situation of the match, this does appear to be Luxurious odds BUT without Knowing the Weather Forecast and the Fact that the Windies have Won ONLY 1 Test in the Last 3 years   I Think the Bookies are Gambling against them on the Fact that they have forgotton how to Win.
Commentators said that their Last win was back in 2005 against Pakistan and their previous win B4 that was 1 year earlier against Bangladesh.

It wont matter if STEYN bowls them out 2nd innings as they will have a good lead.
It will depend on AMLA and the man KALLIS batting last

Projection
DAY3
SA out for 250
WI lead by 150 after first innings
WI with STEYN in form 6/160 at stumps day 3 lead of 310
DAY4
WI all out 200 lead of 350
SA bat a lot better 4/220 stumps
DAY5
lunch SA 6/302 KALLIS out for 130
SA all out 340
WI win by 10 runs

And thats if STEYN + KALLIS produce thier best efforts
Otherwise WI will win
Im backing WI at those very silly odds

WI best chance of winning is if they get bowled out in thier 2nd dig
otherwise they might bat too long get 400+ in front + the draw is in contention
