They are are good guide but not entirely accurate
If Nathan Adcock bowled at the same teams on the same decks

Warne had a bloke called McGrath who took 560 odd wickets at the other end plus others such as Gillespie, Lee, McDermott etc. all taking lots of wickets at the other end. Sri Lanka have basically just had Murali to take the wickets and no-one else so he had more chance of taking big bags.

Irrespective of whether we all think he is a chucker, we should acknowledge the
little masters achievements, and one thing for sure it is compelling viewing everytime

I'm sure spelly will correct me if i'm wrong but doing some quick calculations Murali (before the current test) averages 55.19 overs per Test match in comparison to Warne 46.79.

To provide balance to the conversation, this also helps Warne - pressure at the other end is a valuable tool in taking wickets. Warne was never alone in pressuring the batsman, Murali on the other hand is often alone.

I still think he's a dirty chucker though.
