On their day, that side would be unstoppable. Particularly the batting. Maybe have Siddons in as 12th man/in the team for his fielding. Cosgrove might be the unlucky one if Siddons is in the team.

What about Glenn Bishop he was a superb one day player?

Others to consider would be Andrew Zesers (part of 87 Aust World Cup squad), Siddons (as Spelly said in place of Cossie) or Paul Nobes. I would also put Rod McCurdy or Rodney Hogg in place of Blocker.

Cossie seems lucky to make the XI at this stage IMO

I reckon I'd slot Bishop in place of Elliot, Hogg in place of Wilson and Siddons in place of Cossie

Yes I'd DEFINITELY have Bishop in the side. Wouldn't have Cosgrove though, I'd have Nobes (and Siddons) in before him.

You would have to consider Mo Matthews or Peter Taylor ahead of Robertson and Geoff Lawson ahead of Bracken. Maybe McNamara ahead of Shane Lee? How about Rick McKosker ahead of the Kat (maybe not)?

Where's REB?

The great man can't go in a best XI side in a format he never played IMO

Even tho he would have dominated if he did

What are his one day stats?

By all time it basically means from the the time one day cricket started, which i believe was mid 70's, although i think there were a few games played in the early 70's as well (late 60's in England i think).

Bayman 'all time' for one day cricket means from early 1970s to today, 30 years after Bradman retired.

Bradman romps in the best Test and NSW Shield XI by a mile

But he never played a ODI - how do his ODI stats compare to Steve Waugh?

Sorry Bayman,, it was a bit harsh,, but you can't pick someone who never played the game.(1 Dayers)
Next are we going to pick him as captain of the all time 20/20 team of the century?..
I should spot a downright stupid comment when I see one as I have lots of practise typing them.

I am one of Herb's biggest fans (particularly as he is a West Torrens man) however I would not find a place for him in that team. I would go with either Bishop or Rick Darling in his place. I would also possibly think of Peter Sleep ahead of Tim May. Sounda's batting may give him the edge.
Cheers.

Joel Garner
Lance Gibbs
Greg Chappell
Les Favell
Barrie Robran  (averaged 42!)

Sobers didn't though.
